I told you we would get back to our winning ways on “put these on the card” and we did. We did not have a perfect night because the Celtics showed up again. I am proving to be a very good baseball gambler with another perfect night on the Diamond. It is like I deserve to be on the field with the boys.
That song just puts the vibes so high and makes me want to play. Pretty soon we will only have baseball to bet on. I love that I am hot on the sport right now. The record for the week is 4-4 but I have three homer run picks tonight. Put these on the card if you like winning.
New York Yankees ML +108 vs Padres
This is one of my rule plays for the year that I have talked about before. When the Yankees are plus money at home take them. No matter the circumstances take the plus sign and run when the Bronx Bombers have it. I am not crazy about the pitching for the Yankees, I have no idea who their starter Vasquez is but I love their lineup. Plus the Padres have just not been great all year. Hammer the Yankees.
New York Mets ML -210 @ Colorado
Colorado is a terrible team and the Mets should sweep them. The Mets are playing good baseball winning 6 of their last 8. Scherzer is going tonight for the Mets and I expect 6 innings plus of 1 or 2 run baseball. The Mets should score 5 or 6 before Max’s night is done. LFGM!
Baltimore Orioles ML -134 vs. Texas
The Orioles are just a good baseball team that wins this year. The last ten games the are 7-3. Those games were against the Angels, Blue Jays and Yankees. That is a really impressive run vs. good teams. Gimme the O’s at home because I don’t see them slowing down.
Welcome to the Ultimate College Football Preview for 2023. Every team in FBS Football will be covered in this daily blog release. All of your favorite teams from the ACC, AAC, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, PAC 12, SEC, Sun Belt & even every Independent. Think of these daily college football previews as a cheat sheet going into next year.
2022 Recap:
As you have seen when I do a college football preview I don’t pull punches and keep in 100%. The Hoosiers were god awful last year. Both their offense and defense were ranked over 100 in points per game. The defense allowed 33.9 points per game while the offense only scored 23.2 points per game. The Hoosiers started off hot winning their first 3 games. Then they lost the next seven straight games, five of them by two possessions or more. They beat Michigan State somehow and then lost to Purdue to end the year. I can’t really say too many more positive things about this team, it was ugly and hard to watch.
Head Coach:
Coach Tom Allen has been in Bloomington since 2016 and has been the head coach since 2017. Everyone knows that Indiana is a basketball school and expectations are not high. Allen is 30-40 in his 6 years coaching the Hoosiers. He has two winning seasons, on being the shortened covid year, and has 2 bowl appearance, both losses. His best record was in 2019 when that Hoosier team went 8-5. To put how bad of a program Indiana is historically, they have been playing football for 120 years and have only made 13 bowl games. In only 6 seasons Allen has coached 23 % of bowl appearances. I am harping on how bad the Hoosiers are historically to complement Allen. He is the perfect fit for Indiana. If he continues to have these 8-5 maybe 9-4 years every 3 or 4 seasons that is amazing. If each class can make a bowl game, Indiana’s program is going in the right direction. Baby steps made by Allen could turn this program into an annual mid tier Big 10 team.
Key Players:
While doing a college football preview I usually know the names of 3 or 4 guys even on the really bad teams. I couldn’t name one player coming back for the Hoosiers this year. This is all research. They lost their QB and the man starting this year for them is Sophomore Dexter Williams JR. This will be the Macon, Georgia natives first real playing time. Out of high school he was a 3 star dual threat QB with only one power five offer. Maybe Allen found a diamond in the rough, looking at his highlights this kid can be electric. The second leading running back is back in Senior Josh Henderson. Henderson had 672 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns as a back up. Leading WR from last year Cam Camper is also back after his 46 catch, 569 yard and 2 touchdown junior year. He will lead a very young WR room and will be the best option for Williams to become comfortable early this year in the pass game. Good new for the defense with last years leading tackle, MLB Aaron Casey is back after having 85 tackles, 10.5 TFLs and 2 sacks last year. He is one of a few starters back for the Hoosiers which is probably a good thing because the defense was pretty bad.
2023 Prediction:
The Hoosiers non-conference schedule might be winnable with all home games vs. Indiana State, Louisville and Akron. It the Hoosiers beat Akron then they will go 2-1 in these 3 games, the Akron game is a swing game in their season. The only winnable conference games are Rutgers, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois and Maryland. They are definitely losing the other 4 games. Of the 5 winnable games left 3 of them are on the road. Sorry Hoosier fans I think the ceiling this year is 5-7 and more likely 3-9 year. Don’t worry Allen will have a good year in a couple recruiting classes but this will be a long year.
Another winning day on yesterday’s “put these on the card”. There have been few and far between recently. But yesterday starts a new run of wins. The picks were a little juiced but a win is a win. Money, It’s a hit.
After yesterday’s 2-1 day, fucking Mets 2 loses in a row, we are 4-4 this week. Right at that .500 record in the middle of the week. We can build off that, the week hasn’t been lost let. I have 3 winners today to keep the hot streak going, so put these on the card.
Miami Heat ML +260 @ Boston
So the Heat did not get the sweep last game. The Celtics came out to play and didn’t want to go out in embarrassing fashion. Now everyone in the media are all back on the Celtics, pretty much guaranteeing a game 6. One of my rules for gambling is if everyone is on one side, be on the other. Sometimes you’ll get embarrassed but a lot of times you win and you win big. Give me the Heat and the best player Jimmy Butler to shock everyone again in Boston.
New York Mets ML +100 @ Cubs
This is a homer pick and a motivational pick for my Mets. Boys look, those comebacks of last week don’t mean anything if you get swept today. That 5 game winning streak is pretty much voided out if the Cubs take 3 of 3. Man the fuck up, support Cookie with runs and get back on track. I want to be a positive fan all year so please show me something. The Mets win here because the call ups have been great and the team is unified, just stubbed their toe the last 2 games.
Seattle Mariners ML -250 vs. Oakland
I need a guaranteed win, so here it is. The A’s still have only 10 wins in 51 games. I will continue to always bet against them everyday no matter the juice. The reason is I love the win on the record. Thank you Oakland for guaranteeing me at least one right pick every day! Viva Las Vegas A’s Fans!
Sorry we missed yesterday’s put these on the card blog. It is hard to do everyday while moving with an infant. My mental and physicals were both out of order yesterday. I am writing this one while taking a shit. It is the only place with peace and quiet. I can just sit and think while I stink.
I did put the picks out on Twitter and we went 2-1. Right now for the week we are 2-3. Not great boys but this time tomorrow we will be at .500 or better. I have 3 winners today for you so put these on the card.
New York Mets ML -102 @ Cubs
The hot stretch of the Mets was ended last night, nothing lasts forever. I think the Mets come out and take this game and then the series. Senga is on the mound for the Mets and I think shuts the Cubs bats down. It is the first time the Cubs are seeing the right hander and I think he keeps Chicago off balance. The bats come out for the Mets and they get to firmer teammate Stroman early.
Tampa Bay Rays ML -196 vs Toronto
McClanahan and the best team in baseball, don’t overthink it. Just take the win and keep it moving.
Seattle Mariners ML -290 vs. Oakland
Again let’s not overthink a pick here. It’s juicy I get it, just bet more. I have to get over .500 then I can start taking dogs. For now hammer the Mariners because Oakland is a AA baseball team. After we go 3-0 tonight we can start firing on some long shots with a chance. So just put these on the card and wake up tomorrow with winners and one more day until the holiday weekend.
New week, new opportunity to make money on sports. We don’t live in the past here on “put these on the card”. Wee don’t have time to complain about failures or even celebrate achievements. No we always are looking to future.
That’s right we are all about the future this week. But just to be transparent, yesterday we went 2-1 because the Celtics have no heart. The weeks record was 9-11 and we will never discuss last week, the Celtics, or Lakers again. I have 3 perfect picks to start your Memorial Day week. So slack off at work, you only have four days this week and put these on the card.
Philadelphia Phillies ML -225 vs. Diamondbacks
I know the Phillies have been underachieving all year and it’s crazy to bet on them. You never know what team is showing up. Even though he has been hit for a few runs in a couple of games I love Wheeler. When he is on, he is un-hittable. It is either 1 run or 4 plus with him but I think he pitches great today. The Phillies are on a 2 game winning streak and are home. Hammer the Phillies!
St. Louis Cardinals ML -190 @ Cincinnati
I am going against the trend slightly here. The Cardinals have lost the last 7 games that Jordan Montgomery has started. That can’t continue to happen statistically speaking. Also the Cardinals are hot, winning three of four vs the Dodgers last series. The Reds just got swept by the Yankees and they know the season is over before June yet again. Hammer the Cardinals, the Reds will roll over and die.
Seattle Mariners ML -320 vs. Oakland
No doubt that so far the Mariners are no playing up to expectations. They just lost back to back series to the Braves and Red Sox. The Mariners need a winning series and thank god for Oakland. Just what the doctor ordered, the worst team in baseball. While Seattle has been struggling, the A’s have only managed to win 10 games all year. 10 out of 48, yeah take Seattle and the juice bag bet. Put a lot on it to take the W.
Yesterday’s “put these on the card” was eh ok. We had the rain out in the Mets game. LeBron James is officially never winning another championship. He and the Lakers rolled over and died last night. Thank god for the Astros beating the worst team in baseball or it would have been a real bad day. Today is about finishing the week strong.
Lets fucking explode with winners today and get back to .500. I am really feeling a 3-0 day today. Right now in the week we are 7-10. Today is the day we make our move back to our winning ways. I have 3 fantastic pics, so put these on the card and have a great Sunday.
New York Yankees ML 148 @ Cincinnati
I need 3 wins today, so I am going to the teams that always pull through for me. The Yanks have Severino on the hill and are looking for the series sweep. The Reds are a bad team and the Yankees have to keep pace. I think the pitching shuts the bad Reds lineup down and the Bombers bats boom all over Cincinnati today.
New York Mets ML -168 vs. Guardians
Yesterdays rain delay might have slowed the momentum down for the Mets a little bit. Scherzer is on the hill and needs to prove himself in this game 1 of a doubleheader. The young players, and bats have come alive after the walk off wins of this week. If the pitching gets going this team can really do some damage in the National League. I think Mad Max is pissed off enough in how bad he has been to turn it up a notch today and dominated. LFGM!
Boston Celtics ML -156 @ Heat
I mean this is just a heart game for the Celtics. No way they lose 3 straight in the playoffs to a team that is not as talented as them, do they? I mean Tatum has to drop his nuts on the court and save some face. They win tonight they are right back in the series. I thought the same of the Lakers though last night, lets hope the Celtics actually show up and play like they know how too.
If the Boston Celtics decided they actually wanted to finish a game we would have been undefeated on yesterday’s “put these on the card”. What the hell was that? We have new Dillion Brooks with Grant Williams getting in Jimmy Butler’s face in the 4th quarter. Why? Stop poking the bear. Butler went off the rest of the game and the Heat won. Like wtf? Just walk the damn line that late in the game.
I walked the damn line last night. I had all the right picks to go 3-0 and still got burned. the record on the week now is 6-9 with two more days to get above .500. Today I have three fantastic more picks tonight that will get us there, so put these on the card.
New York Mets ML -178 vs. Guardians
The Mets are one of the hottest teams in baseball this past week. Walk off after walk off they are fighting to save their season. Today they have Scherzer on the hill who needs to get back on track himself. I think today he proves to the Mets he still is the big game guy and the Mets win the series vs. Guardians. The bats will be there for Scherzer but I don’t think he will need too much. Mad Max will be back today in Queens.
Houston Astros ML -320 vs Oakland
Look I need to get to over .500 this week to stay a reliable source of internet gambling picks. So yes, this is a huge juice bag play and I don’t care. I need the win and the Astros will easily give me one today. It is about the record with his pick, bet a lot to cover the juice to win you something.
Los Angeles Lakers ML -230 vs. Denver
The Lakers played the Nuggets very tough the first two game and should have a victory in this series. LeBron and the boys will not go down so easily at home. A series starts when a team wins a game on the road. That is not happening tonight. The Lakers win this by 6 plus points and make for an interesting game 4.
I have no fucking clue what to say about yesterday’s “put these on the card“. Just a black pit of despair. I couldn’t get a pick right if I fell out of a boat and landed on a winner. Mercury has to be in retrograde or something. I have never had such a bad run. I haven’t quit, I will get off this proverbial gambling mat. Not dead yet.
This song always got me going pregame for football. These vibes are going to lead me to the right picks today. I can’t believe I went 0-3 for y’all yesterday. The record for the week is 4-8 after starting 4-2. The turn around is now, so put these on the card.
Atlanta Braves ML -152 vs Seattle
I have had a lousy week so it is back to the team that always wins me money. The Braves are the best team in the National League. They are home and Elder is on the mound. He is 3-0 with a 1.94 ERA. In his 8 starts this year the Braves have won 6 of them. Hammer the Braves tonight and get back on track.
New York Mets ML -152 vs Cleveland
So I have been bashing my Mets and betting against them. I keep getting burned by my own team. Huge comeback walk-off vs. the Rays and then they follow that up with another win. They just beat the beat team in baseball 2 out of 3. They just kiss me off so much because they were playing like shit. Now they brought up all their best prospects. The young guys have given the team a boost and I’m back to being positive Johnny about them. LFGM!!!!!
Boston Celtics ML -400 vs. Miami
I had the Heat in game 1 because the Celtics have been shaky at home in these playoffs. They are 4-4 in the Garden. But they always bounce back with a big game after a bad loss. I expect Tatum to just take over this game. He was a little timid game 1. There is no doubt he will be the Celtics leading scorer and reason why they win tonight. Hammer the Celtics because that is a huge juice bag number.

2022 Recap:
Expectations is everything in college football. As we said in the Kansas college football preview 6-6 was great for them and their future. At Oklahoma 6-6 will never, ever be tolerated. This was a dreadful year in Norman Oklahoma. They are a playoff or bust type program every year. I mean look at their losses. The Texas game is what it is, it is a rival and that is not a bad loss. But the Sooners lost to the last place West Virginia team. They should never lose to Texas Tech or Baylor and they did. Losing to Kansas State and TCU isn’t as bad last year with those 2 being the top of the conference. At Oklahoma though, they are the top of the conference and quite frankly it was embarrassing watching them look so damn mediocre. The only win that was worth anything is beating in state rival Oklahoma State in the Bedlam game. Lets just call it how it was, Oklahoma last year was just fucking bad and it shouldn’t happen to this program ever.
Head Coach:
It was a less the stellar first year as the Sooners head coach for Brent Venables. His return to Norman after a decade at Clemson as a Defensive Coordinator could have been a lot better. Venables is a top 5 Defensive mind in college football. He help Coach Dabo Sweeney and Clemson win 2 National Championships vs. great offenses. Venables even has hardware as a Defensive Coordinator winning the Broyles award in 2016. The defense needs to get better, it is unacceptable that a Venables defense was 99th in the country in points allowed. Coach Venables needs to turn this around quick because of those high expectations. The Sooner fans love their team and are not a patient bunch. If there isn’t a dramatic turn around this year, Venables will be on the hot seat in only his second season.
Key Players:
The tone of this college football preview has been a bit negative. Time to hit some positive notes on the upcoming year for the Sooners. QB Dillion Gabriel is back for his last year in Norman. Last year one of the few positives on the team, Gabriel threw for 3,168 with a 62.7% completion percentage. He was very efficient and had 25 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. RB Eric Gray and his almost 1,400 yards on the ground are gone. Filling that void will be his backup from last year Jovantae Barnes who had 519 yards and 5 touchdowns. Replacing leading receiver Marvin Mims will be a challenge. Jalil Farooq will be the number one target this year coming off of his 37 catch, 466 yard, 5 touchdown sophomore year. Drake Stoops will be Farooq’s main running mate, as a junior last year Stoops had 39 catches for just under 400 yards and 3 touchdowns. The top 5 leading tacklers from last year will not be back. That might be a good thing as the defense was terrible anyways. Remember the name Ethan Downs, he had 38 tackles, 13.5 TFLs and 4.5 sacks as a sophomore last year at his DE spot. I expect huge things from him this year. Jordan Kelly and Billy Bowman will flash for the Sooners Defense as well.
2023 Prediction:
Oklahoma has a relatively easy non-conference schedule, playing Tulsa, SMU and Arkansas State. I fully expect them to go 3-0 in those games easily. They have the one neutral game vs. Texas which is a toss up. Their road conference games are Cincy, Kansas, Oklahoma State and BYU. I think that might be the easiest Big 12 road schedule for any team. I am expecting 4-0 in road games, I guess 3-1 just because it is college football and weird shit happens. The Sooners home conference games are Iowa State, West Virginia, UCF, and TCU. Wow I am looking at the home games they are all very winnable, I expect 4-0. Putting all this together. I think the ceiling is 12-0 if they can beat Texas and the floor is 10-2, they have such an easy schedule. Anything less then 10 wins in the regular season should be considered a bad year. They don’t play Baylor or Kansas State, I might take the Sooners to win the Big 12.
Ok so hand up, yesterday’s “put these on the card” picks were shit. I lost two games in the last inning. One with the Blue Jays walk off. Then my own team decided to show signs of life late in the game vs the Rays. Scoring 6 runs in the ninth and tenth inning and ending it with an Alonso walk off. I guess I deserve that from my team I have been bad talking. Karma is a bitch.
Yes Mrs. Keys Karma is a bitch, I should have been 2-1 yesterday. Instead we went 0-3 and are now 4-5 for the week. But the tide is turning for us. Right before the NBA game I hammered the Heat. I just had a hunch, I don’t know why I just did. I went with my gut and we hit fucking huge!! Oh and I have the receipt so the haters can suck it! With the good luck back after this hit I have 3 picks for you today. So out these on the card and jump back on one of the best internet sports gamblers band wagon.
Tampa Bay Rays ML-108 @ Mets
Yeah the walk off was cute from my Mets last night. But I refuse to get my hopes up from one game they decided to actually show heart. This team is still the same team with no lefty power bats and a real shitty pitching staff. Example A, Megill is starting today, he is terrible, his ERA is over 4 and he’s only gone 6 innings once. The Mets go back to being the Mets after one night of bliss. Oh, I still love Alonso he’s the only player worth a damn on the team. Nice hit Petey!
Toronto Blue Jays ML -130 vs Yankees
See unlike the Mets, the Jays could use this walk off win from yesterday as momentum. They win a game started by Coke which had been near impossible all season. They can ride that high and build from that statement win yesterday. Another big factor in me picking the Jays is the Yankees starting pitcher. Nestor Cortes is god awful with an ERA of 5.53 the man is a not a good pitcher. Give me the Jays to go back to back vs the Yanks.
Los Angeles Lakers ML +188 @ Denver
This is a King James legacy year. If he wins the title this year no one can say the 2020 season doesn’t count. They will stop bashing LeBron for only winning in the bubble. That being said Denver and Jolie is fucking fantastic and will be hard to beat. The Lakers weee getting dominated game 1 in the first three quarters. Then they found something on defense to slow the Nuggets down. That lead to easier offensive possessions even cutting the lead to three. I think LeBron and Davis find a way to win this game because they are stars. They won’t go down 2-0’in this series. Also just think about how this sounds. Denver Nuggets beat LeBron James and Lakers to go to NBA Finals. That just doesn’t look or sound right. The comeback starts tomorrow. Hammer the Lakers and LeBron! So put these on the card.
