2023: The Year Barstool Sports Died R.I.P.

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. In the year 2023 Barstool Sports Died. The once juggernaut of counterculture sports and comedy has been killed from the inside. It truly now is all about the money and nothing else matters.

This is the bullshit the main Barstool page is sharing. 2 morons stealing other people’s stupid questions.

Anything for clicks, right Gaz? The above tweet is the type of terrible content that has been coming out of Barstool this year. It is fucking embarrassing. They also have the barstool beast, barstools employee of the month program, WTF!! Coroporate bullshit.

This is part of why Barstool Died in 2023. The other reason was the sale of Barstool to PENN. It is not Barstool Sports anymore, it is PENN Entertainment.

Jay Snowden is a bitch and this is how you get fired now at barstool sports since Dave sold out.

For reading lyrics off of a card and mistakenly dropping the N bomb as a white person. Let me be clear it was A not ER and again it was lyrics. Penn Entertainment fires you for this. Like Really? Fuck Penn. Dave literally did the same shit. This is the same PC, Woke, everyone is offended by everything bullshit Barstool has fought against.

Dave was able to fight to prove he wasn’t racists and saying a lyric in a rap song doesn’t make you a bad person. This is literally the same exact situation except there is no more Barstool sports. Barstool Sports Died and Penn Entertainment is now in charge. They have stock holders and quarterly numbers they have to hit. Cancel culture can actually get to the billion dollar corporation like it never could the old Barstool Sports.

With that deal signed above Barstool Sports Died. They are now just like every other PC corporation in media. Barstool is just being used for their name and talents by PENN. I don’t blame Dave for selling out by the way. Make your money and do you.

Watch this KFC Radio episode at the beginning. This is how every old school stoolie, like myself feels.

I think all the old school guys and girls at Barstool saw these changes coming. Big Cat is taking his crew and his guys to Chicago. KFC Radio with Kevin and Feits, lay it out in the episode above that they don’t agree and it doesn’t really effect them. You never see Caleb Presley in the office. The Foreplay boys are never there, Riggs is always somewhere else. The Bussin Boys are in Nashville. There is a common theme here. All the successful pods and shows are just doing their own thing. Contracts are over for some people soon, I wonder what will happen?

Ultimate College Football Preview, 130 Teams In A 130 Days: East Carolina

Welcome to the Ultimate College Football Preview for 2023. Every team in FBS Football will be covered in this daily blog release. All of your favorite teams from the ACC, AAC, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, PAC 12, SEC, Sun Belt & even every Independent. Think of these daily college football previews as a cheat sheet going into next year.

2022 Recap:

The 2022 football season should be considered a good one for the Pirates of East Carolina. They went 7-5 in the regular season and ended the year on a good note winning the the Birmingham Bowl. Besides the loss to a bad Navy team and a blowout vs. Houston, the other losses were close games. The close game loses were vs. top 25 opponents. The Pirates defense was right in the middle of the pack in points per game allowed, while the offense was ranked 36th in points per game. They were lead by record breaking QB Holton Ahlers, he will be hard to replace.

Head Coach:

Coach Mike Houston lead the Pirates to their best record in his 4 year tenure in 2022. You can tell the success of a coach by year 4 in a program. Houston is right on track in making the Pirates an annually good team in the American Athletic Conference. If he keeps this trajectory and the bigger teams in conference moving into the Big 12, the Pirates could be at the top. They could get to the top and stay up there or close each and every year. ECU has great facilities and a history of always improving that Houston can work with to build a great program.

Key Players:

As stated above the loss of Ahlers, the lefty gun slinger, will be a tough one to replace. The man stepping into those very big shoes is Red Shirt Sophomore Mason Garcia. Let me tell you one thing, Garcia is a big, big boy. The former 3-star recruit is 6’5″, 225, and has a cannon of a right arm. The WR position is also losing big time play makers CJ Johnson and Isiah Winstead. Both had over 1,000 yards receiving last year. Jaylen Johnson is the most productive WR coming back and will be the number 1 option for young Garica. They are losing almost 1,500 rushing yards with Keaton Mitchell leaving. Marlon Gunn Jr will be the man in the backfield; last year as a back up he had 344 yards. Lots of new faces on the offense, but the scheme should help that side of the ball. The defense is loaded with players who contributed a lot last year coming back. The one start to keep your eyes out for is Free Safety Julius Wood. Wood lead the team with 87 tackles, 1.5 TFL’s and 2 interceptions. He is always around the ball.

2023 Prediction:

Looking at the schedule, they have a tough first game @ Michigan and then @ App State 2 weeks later. I think 2-2 in non conference would be a win for the Pirates. I really think they can go 6-2 or 5-3 in conference. That is a 8-4, 7-5 year. That is very good with all the changes on offense. The defense will be key this year for the Pirates. If they step up and give the young offense time to gel they can surprise some teams this year in the AAC. Next year the college football preview might even be better at ECU.

Put These On The Card 5/4

Time are a changing here on put these on the card, and not for the good. How the fuck did I lose 2 more games last night? Hey, knock knock, Devils are you home? Do you even want to play hockey? Or is beating the Rangers enough? And big middle finger to my Mets, its the fucking Tigers pick it the fuck up.

Now that I got that off my mind, we are a terrible 3-5 for this week on put these on the card. We will be going back to the well, which is Major League Baseball today and winning. I am only giving out baseball today, because baseball is my best sport for gambling. These three are definite winners, so put these on the card.

New York Mets ML -220 @ Detroit

If this team loses back to back to the Tigers with Scherzer won day followed by Verlander, then I am done. No chance in hell the Mets lose again with one of their aces vs. one of the worst teams in baseball. I am telling you right now if the Mets somehow lose this and then get swept I am no longer a Mets fan. Put it together boys, LFG!!!

Tampa Bay Rays ML -188 vs. Pirates

The best team in baseball will continue to show why again tonight. Eflin will pitch a gem, the bats will exploded, and the bullpen will be phenomenal. Why? Because it is the Rays in 2023, that is just the norm. The Rays are running away with their division and it’s only early May. Hammer the Rays.

Atlanta Braves ML -108 @ Miami

All year long when I have needed a win after a few loses I take the Braves. As a Mets fan I hater doing it, but it always works. They have Dodd on the mound the lefty had one great outing and got shelled in the other. The Padres will do that to any pitcher though. I think Dodd comes in and shuts the Miami bats down. Lets go 3-0 today all afternoon baseball, make money before dinner.

Put These On The Card 5/3

So we are back to our winning ways on “put these on the card“, well we went 1-1 with a rain out. I gave you the Knicks winning, that was easy. How the hell did Toronto get embarrassed on home ice? They have a clear shot to the Cup Final, with all the usual big teams in the East out. Never bet on Canada, stupid me. Well unless it is the Queen of Canada.

Going into hump day, oh I got laid this morning hope you did too, we are here for 3-0 today. So far this week we are at a miserable 2-3, that’s not going to cut it. I have the trifecta of picks today to get us above .500 for the week. So you know the drill, put these on the card.

New York Mets ML -220 @ Detroit

Look this is where my Mets start playing better baseball. Mad Max is back from his bullshit suspension and is facing his old team. The Tigers lineup is at best a triple A lineup. I expect Scherzer to have a pissed off dominant performance. This is the type of game that Max drops his nuts all over the competition. It just so happens to be the Tigers, his old team.

Los Angeles Angels ML-142 @ St. Louis

Ohtani is on the hill and the Angels are playing a bad team. That is an automatic take the Angels and laugh all the way to the bank. To be honest I don’t think the Angels are a good team. They only have Ohtani and Trout, but thats all they need to beat bad teams in baseball especially when Shohei is pitching. Hammer the Halos tonight.

New Jersey Devils ML +100 @ Carolina

I watched the Devils take down my Rangers over a 7 game series. While watching every second of that series I learned a lot about the Devils. Jack Hughes is the real deal, Palat is very under rated and always comes up clutch. The most important thing and the reason I am betting the Devils the rest of the playoffs is they have a hot goalie. Shcmid is playing out of his mind. He is stopping every shot and is always in the right position. The Devils will be very, very hard to beat. Give me my hated rival to win tonight.

Ultimate College Football Preview, 130 Teams In A 130 Days: Cincinnati

Welcome to the Ultimate College Football Preview for 2023. Every team in FBS Football will be covered in this daily blog release. All of your favorite teams from the ACC, AAC, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, PAC 12, SEC, Sun Belt & even every Independent. Think of these daily college football previews as a cheat sheet going into next year.

2022 Recap:

The Bearcats had a pretty damn good year, especially coming off the most successful year in school history. It is always difficult to follow up a highly successful year and for the most part Cincy did that. They got back to the AAC Championship game, losing by three. Cincinnati also made the Fenway Bowl, but for the third year in a row lost. They seem to be doing good at getting to big games, just not finishing them. That being said they were one of the most successful group of 5 teams last year and for the last decade. Moving to the Big 12 should assist the Bearcats to keep climbing up the college football food chain.

Head Coach:

Scott Satterfield steps in as head coach of the Bearcats this year taking over for Luke Fickell. Fickell left before the bowl games this past year for Wisconsin. Satterfield comes into Cincy from Louisville and Appalachian State before that. He had great success at App State going 51-24 finishing first in the SunBelt 3 times and never worst then third in six seasons. After a good first season at Louisville going 8-5 and wining the Music City bowl, struggles set in. Going 17-19 in the three seasons after his first at Louisville. For me he leaves a lot left to be desired at a big program. He couldn’t recruit the right players to Louisville, who has always gotten good players in. To believe he can keep Cincinnati on the upward trajectory is I think juvenile. I am not a fan of Satterfield leading the Bearcats, but maybe I will be proven wrong.

Key Players:

Emory Jones transferred into Cincinnati after having a disappointing year at Arizona State. He will be in charge of the offense for the Bearcats. Jones is not consistent enough to be a great QB but has shown flashes of being one. At Florida especially he has shown his talent with his arm and feet. He will be throwing to three transfers as well at WR in Dee Wiggins, Donovan Ollie and Sterling Berkhalter. It will be difficult to mesh with all players transferring in. The defense is losing two huge contributors in Ivan Pace Jr. and Ty Van Fossen who combined had 214 tackles, 24.5 TFL, 9.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Leaders like Deshawn Pace who had 62 tackles, 5 TFL’s, 1 sack and 1 interception, will have to step up even more.

2023 Prediction:

With going into a new, better conference this year I think Cincinnati takes a huge jump back. Not only do I not believe in their coach, or their players, the competition week to week is much tougher. If they can go 7-5 it will be a success. At 8-4 I will admit that Satterfield knows what he is doing. I don’t see that happening, 6-6 is the most realistic outcome. They will still make a bowl but definitely not what the Bearcat fans have been use to. Welcome to the Big 12.

Ultimate College Football Preview, 130 Teams In A 130 Days: Wake Forest

Welcome to the Ultimate College Football Preview for 2023. Every team in FBS Football will be covered in this daily blog release. All of your favorite teams from the ACC, AAC, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, PAC 12, SEC, Sun Belt & even every Independent. Think of these daily college football previews as a cheat sheet going into next year.

2022 Recap:

For most teams that are perennially the middle of their conference a 8-5 year with a bowl win would be considered a pretty damn good year. You would think their college football preview would be all joyous. The expectations were much higher in Winston Salem going into 2022. They had most of their talent back from a 11-3, first place in the Atlantic division of the ACC and won a bowl game. Sam Hartman was in Heisman conversations and the offense was going to be unbelievable and it was finishing 18th in points per game. The defense, however, was bad finishing in the bottom third of college football for points allowed. To be fair the only teams they lost to were from the Carolina’s and Kentucky.

Head Coach:

Dave Clawson in my opinion is the perfect coach for Wake Forest and the results back that up. He has been at Wake since 2014 and has had the Demon Deacons usually in the middle of the pack of the ACC since his first two years. Covid year doesn’t count. Then 2021 they had the right guy at QB and the schedule was favorable for them to make a run to the top of the ACC. That should be the goal at Wake, make bowls every year, then every 3 or 4 years make a run to the top. Historically they are not that team, but are in a hotbed for recruiting. Clawson is building a winning culture in Winton Salem. If every 3 or 4 years he can land a Sam Hartman type QB, they will be more than a successful football program.

Key Players:

As I have mentioned, they had one of the nation’s best QB’ s last year. Hartman is gone, transferred to Notre Dame. This year it is up to Red Shirt Sophomore Mitch Griffis. In limited time while Hartman was hurt last year, Griffis was very good in his place. He had a 70.7 % completion percentage for 348 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He was a three star dual threat QB coming out of high school. Under Clawson’s system I think he can be a very good QB in the ACC. Good news for the young QB is he has 4 great, experienced playmakers in Donovan Greene, Taylor Morin, KeShawn Williams & Jahmal Banks coming back. Combined last year, this quartet had 165 catches for 2,406 yards and 25 touchdowns. That great production coming back. The defense can only really get better and are lead by Senior LB Chase who had 74 tackles, 6 TFL’s and 2 sacks. Lots of young hungry faces should improve the defense from last year.

2023 Prediction:

Looking at the Demon Deacons schedule, I expect them to go 3-0 in the non-conference. Then in conference play I can see 6-3 or 5-4 that is with also playing conference “team” Notre Dame. That is a great 9-3 or 8-4 regular season. This year is a building year, all the weapons are eligible to come back for 2024!

Put These On The Card 5/2

I would like to apologize on behave of the daily gambling blog “put these on the card” for yesterday’s picks. We need to stop the goddamn bleeding guys! The carryover from last week is a real thing. How the fuck do the Celtics lose at home to the 76ers without Embiid? Boston is just cursed lately, I will be staying from all teams in New England for a while. But I had to play this song to get the Vibes going.

Coming off of our first losing week ever from put these on the card, I really thought I had it dialed in yesterday. The 1-2 day would tell us different. Also the only hit I had was.a hedge vs. my favorite hockey team. The Rangers are out of the playoffs and we had a losing day. Remember though, keep the vibes high always. Today is a new day to be incredible at gambling and life, so lets fucking go boys. Put these on the card.

New York Mets ML -142 @ Detroit

I know the Mets have been struggling lately, playing the Braves. But they have Lucchesi on the mound and he was so dominant last game. The Mets bats come and go, and after the last series they will be coming. I love the Mets to get the win tonight and for Lucchesi to go 6 or 7 innings less than 2 runs. If we can’t score 4 or 5 vs. the Tigers pitching staff just end the season now.

New York Knicks ML -270 vs. Miami

The reason I like the Knicks tonight is that Jimmy Butler is out. He sprained his ankle late last game and is ruled out tonight. The Knicks will play better then last game. I expect Brunson and Barrett to have exceptional games and bring this series to 1-1. This is shaping up to being a classic Knicks vs. Heat late 90’s classic. But as for tonight give me the Knickerbockers at the Garden.

Toronto Maple Leafs ML -164 vs. Florida

Two things about this game 1. First it was real awesome seeing Florida go into Boston and beat the Bruins, that was sweet. Second it was also awesome to see the Leaf’s get the monkey off their back in a first round series. Those two ideas give me why I like the Leafs tonight. The Leafs will come out loose and ready to play hockey. They don’t have to hear the bullshit about losing in first rounds anymore. Lets be honest there is no way the Panthers are beating Boston in Boston and then the Leafs in Toronto in back to back games in the playoffs. No chance! I love Tavares and the Leafs to win game 1 easy tonight, 2 goals plus.

Ultimate College Football Preview, 130 Teams In A 130 Days: Virginia Tech

Welcome to the Ultimate College Football Preview for 2023. Every team in FBS Football will be covered in this daily blog release. All of your favorite teams from the ACC, AAC, Big 12, Big 10, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, PAC 12, SEC, Sun Belt & even every Independent. Think of these daily college football previews as a cheat sheet going into next year.

2022 Recap:

Just like we did with Virginia yesterday there will be no punches pulled, Va Tech was a terrible team last year. The went 1-6 in ACC play and 3-8 overall. Maybe there was something in the water in Virginia to make the teams in the ACC that played in Virginia 3-8. I guess a positive for Va Tech is they started to become more competitive later in the season. The games were closer at the end of the year and they even beat a good Liberty team on the last game of the year. I do try to look for positives while doing these college football previews but this one is hard.

Head Coach:

Coach Bret Pry went 3-8 his first year in Blacksburg, not what Hokie fan wanted at all. Before landing the Head job at Va Tech, Pry was a former Defensive Coordinator at Vanderbilt (2011-2013) and at Penn State ( 2013-2021). He is a James Franklin prodigy, that means defense and grit. While the offense at Va Tech was one of the worst in all the FBS, his defense was 54th out of a 131. I think he is the right person to take a once proud team into the future. Pry reminds me of Frank Beamer, with a defense first mentality. If he gets his guys in and to buy in to what he is preaching Va Tech will be right back at the top of the ACC.

Key Players:

Grant Wells will be the starting QB again in Blacksburg after a pretty mediocre at best season last year. Wells had a 59% completion percentage for 2,171 yards. He had 9 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, but also had 6 more rushing and 205 yards. Not exactly. a dynamic year out of that position. None of the projected starting weapons contributed last year except TE Nick Gallo. All three starting WR are transfers and hopefully bring some new life to the offense. The biggest producer that is back is Nasir Peoples a Red Shirt Senior Safety that had 61 tackles, 30 solos and 4.5 TFL’s. I think scheme will be a big part of the success on the defensive side of the ball.

2023 Prediction:

I think this team will have a better record than last year. There is a face a path for them to even be bowl eligible if they can pull some upset wins in the conference. The non-conference has games of equal talent vs. Rutgers, Marshall, Old Dominion & Purdue. If they can pull a 2-2 or 3-1 record vs. these teams they can win 3 or 4 games in conference to go bowling. Va Tech is a team on the rise in the ACC, in 2 years competing for a Championship.

Put These On The Card 5/1

Well y’all it finally happened on “put these on the card” we had a losing week going 9-11. Shit happens sometimes and not every single week is going to be a winner. Last month we won 3 out of 4 weeks, thats winning to me. As long as by the end of the month we are up that means by the end of the year we are really up.

Yeah this is the banger for the start of the week on put theses on the card because we going up and up an up on our units. We are going 3-0 to start the week and month off and washing away last weeks terrible ass week. I have plays today that are guaranteed to win you money.

New York Yankees ML -138 vs. Guardians

The Yankees were losers most of the week last week as was I. Just like me we have been winners most of this year. That being said we both bounce back this week to our winning ways. Germain has the ball today and the Yanks are back home. The bats led by Aaron Judge are coming out to play. Take the Yanks and maybe sprinkle Judge to homer as well.

Boston Celtics ML -480 vs. 76ers

Yes, holy shit is this a juice bag play. I am laying out over 30 times my normal unit on this play to win some money. But this pick is about winning and my record. There is no such thing as a sure play, but this is the closest thing to it. Joel is out, the Celtics are home, and they need to hold Boston down. The entire city is in morning from the Bruins embarrassing series loss last night. Boston needs this win and will get this win tonight, it is juicy so risk a lot to win a little.

New Jersey Devils ML -115 vs. Rangers

This is 100% a hedge play for my team to win. That is why I took the juicy Boston game, so I can hedge here. If the Devils win, great I win a lot of money. If they lose, I don’t give a fuck about money; my Rangers move on. Fuck the Devils!!! But I hate a lose, lose and I am not very confident based on how this series has gone. I love the Rangers and I wish I had more conviction in them winning. They have my heart always, just not my money. Like a marriage with a prenup. Put these on the card.

For More Daily Sports News & Gambling Follow Us On: TwitterTik TokInstagram & Youtube.

Put These On The Card 4/30

So I have to come out and admit that on yesterday’s “put these on the card” I hedged so fucking much. I bet the Devils to beat the Rangers to reverse jinx myself and have the Rangers win. Yes Superstitions are real and I hammered the Devils knowing if I did that I would lose money but my team would win. If you have been following me you know that is true, if not well I like the Mets, NY Rangers, Jets, and Notre Dame. Now you have no excuse for not fading when I tell you to go the other way.

Yeah the song today is an absolute banger. That is what we do everyday on put these on the card, great picks and great tunes. Alright, this is a gambling blog so lets get to that. This week we are still right there to be up units at the end of today. The record is 8-9 and really 8-8 because I hedged the Rangers. Lets bang out these picks today and end week 4 with another winning record. So put these on the card.

New York Yankees ML -126 @ Rangers

I know I said I would stop betting on the Yankees because they have really been letting me down lately. I get it but they aren’t losing three in a row to Texas, not happening. Also Nestor Cortes is on the hill for the Bronx Bombers and he will shut the Rangers down. After being shut out yesterday I expect the Yankees’ bats to be out today and go for the series tie. Hammer the Yanks.

Boston Bruins ML -225 vs. Florida

Look it has been cute that the best team in hockey has been playing with its food in this series. Boston has let the Panthers hang around and make good TV ratings. All that shit is over tonight. The best team in hockey will act like it and shut the Florida Panthers down. Boston is so much more talented and has so much more experience. Game 7’s always come down to who has been there and who can make the clutch plays, it is so Boston in this game. Responsibly bet the house on the Bruins to win.

DC Defenders ML -160 vs Seattle

Look I actually watch a lot of XFL football, it is pretty good. The best team all year has been the Defenders. They have this awesome tandem of QB’s in Jordan Ta’amu and D’Eriq King that are so dynamic. Coach Reggie Barlow has and excellent defense and I expect him to shut down Josh Gordon, Ben DiNucci and the rest of Jim Haslett’s Sea Dragons. Next week I expect them to win the Championship as well.
